Meet Robert (Rob) Rapp, CIC, CPIA

Rob, president and owner of Homestead Insurance Agency Inc., is a lifetime resident of Medina County and a graduate of Medina High School (1968). He served in the U.S. Army (1968 - 1971) and is a Vietnam Veteran (1970). He is a graduate of Bowling Green State University (business / insurance major) and earned the coveted CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) designation in 1993.

Meet Jim Thornburg

Jim Thornburg grew up in Lakewood, Ohio, graduated from Lakewood High School and attended the University of Miami in Florida. He and his wife, Jean, married in 1950, have been residents of Medina since 1958, have two children and four grandchildren all living in Medina County. Jim worked as a claims adjuster for 18 years of which 11 of those were for the Westfield Insurance Companies. Prior to joining Homestead in 1994, Jim had been an agent for 16 years in the Lorain County area.

 Meet Mark Herwick, CPIA, LUTCF

Mark is an agent in our Life & Health Division. A graduate of Wadsworth Senior High School, he atttended the College of Santa Fe in Santa Fe, New Mexico where he graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Creative Writing.

His primary focus is group benefits: major medical, life, disability, dental and vision and long term care plans.  Mark also works with business owners and managers to install and manage their Buy-Sell Life Insurance agreements, Cross-Purchse Plans, Business Succession and Disability Income/Business Overhead Expense policies.  Mark also works with several school systems in Ohio, managing their group life insurance and major medical insurance plans.

Mark also markets life insurance, disability income and long-term care insurance to individuals, and is licensed to sell most Medicare Advantage and Supplement plans in Ohio.

Meet Brandon Rapp, CIC, CPIA

Brandon, a licensed Property & Casualty and Life & Health agent, is a lifetime resident of Medina County.  A graduate of Buckeye High School, he attended Bowling Green State University where he graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Marketing.  Brandon joined Homestead Insurance in September of 2005 and continues his family tradition becoming a fourth generation insurance agent.

Meet Renee Mikulec, CISR

Renee, a licensed Property & Casualty and Life & Health agent, has lived in the Brunswick community for over 30 years.  She is a graduate of Brunswick High School and has dedicated her education and career in the insurance field since 1993.  Renee joined Homestead Insurance in October of 2009.  She earned her CISR designation in 2008.
